Heritage Center for the Performing Arts

The Heritage Center for Performing Arts is located in downtown Cedar City and is a versatile facility that can accommodate meetings and conferences of various sizes. The facility houses the nearly 1000 seat Heritage Theater and over 15,000 Square feet of flexible meeting space. The Heritage Center for the Performing Arts was initiated by the local community to provide a theater where local musicians could perform, apart from the university theater, which was mainly used by the Shakespeare Festival. When city leaders proposed a parking complex and a movie theater to anchor the central part of town, local musicians spoke up, asking for their own space. City and county leaders listened, responding with over $1 million for the performing arts theatre that has resulted in an attractive community venue.
